Fictional precognitive characters?
[edit]- I see a new category was added to this article. How is Doppelganger a precognitive character? Unless I missed something, he's not. -Seinfreak37 15:57, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Edit: unless you count his physic link to Demogoblin as Clairvoyance, I guess ... -Seinfreak37 16:00, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
69.114.203.203 (talk) 22:33, 6 May 2013 (UTC):There was a cameo of him in Spider-Man:The Animated Series when Harry Osborn was having crazy dreams.Though,he didn't have 6 arms or pointy fingers.
Doesn't he have spider-sense like Spider-man? 68.166.64.212 (talk) 08:41, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
I read on the Ultimate Spider-Man (story arcs) page that a six armed Spider-Man clone is seen in the latest issue of the Ultimate Clone Saga, I've been wondering if this could be a reference to Doppelganger. -- Lord Crayak
I think not. That character only has six arms as a reference to the fact that he appears in ish 100 - just as the 616 spidey grew 6 arms in 'Amazing Spider-Man' 100.
Gender
[edit]I notice that this page refers to Doppleganger as a "he", in any of the comics Doppleganger appeared in, was he ever reffered to with a masculine pronoun? BassxForte 19:53, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- He is a doppelganger of a male, so it is reasonable to refer to him as male. --Freak104 19:04, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
In Maximum Carnage, several characters including Spiderman, Carnage, Shriek, and Demogoblin referred to the Doppleganger by masculine pronouns such as "he" or "him." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.242.96.238 (talk) 19:53, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- Really, a mutant/clone/friend-of-weird-red-alien-thing is genderless in my opinion. Does it even really matter? Chickenmonger (talk) 23:44, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
Carnage #1
[edit]Even if the Doppelganger's return doesn't explain how it survived being eviscerated by Carnage, if it could survive that, a few bullets aren't likely to kill it, so the "possibly killing it" should be removed. 173.180.72.42 (talk) 03:09, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
- Good catch. You were correct to remove that, but not because of your stated reason. Statements like "possibly killing" would be classified under original research and shouldn't be in the article. Thanks for removing that. I failed to catch it before now. Spidey104 15:27, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Publication History needs to be Added
[edit]This article is missing the character's publication history. It needs to be added in order to make the article more precise.--Paleface Jack (talk) 00:20, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Doppelganger (comics) → Doppelganger (character) – The title does not follow Wikipedia's naming conventions, such as that it is not the common name of the subject or it is overprecise. NeoBatfreak (talk) 19:37, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. Any doppelganger could be said to be a character. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:58, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- How about Doppelganger (Marvel Comics) then?--NeoBatfreak (talk) 15:34, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support alternate move to Doppelganger (Marvel Comics), although this page should likely be AfD'd because it is supported by no reliable, secondary sources. It is pure FANDOM cruft. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 23:14, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Strong oppose doppelgangers are characters. Doppelganger (Marvel Comics) would be acceptable for this article -- 64.229.88.43 (talk) 06:26, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
